Hey y'all!!
I hope y'all had a wonderful Christmas! We were able to be a part of a lot of service opportunities for Christmas Eve & Christmas. On Christmas Eve we spent part of our p-day and helped out at the Ronald McDonald house with cleaning & preparing dinner for the residents. I was able to go to the Ronald McDonald house last year with my zone, so it was fun to come back and help out with other missionaries and with the Polleys! And on Christmas day our zone went to a rest home to sing carols to the residents and play bingo with them! Seriously so much fun :))
We're still working on finding more people to teach, but miracles are happening! We received 2 referrals this past week on our Area Book, and Bishop has really been wanting us to focus on talking about family mission plans with every family that we eat dinner with or take with us on visits. It has been so cool to hear about people's miracles with sharing the gospel with their friends! They are so excited about it, and we are too!
Yesterday in 3rd hour of church we met with the majority of the ward (besides the Primary kids) and talked about spiritual self reliance, and getting prepared for the new year with the 2 hour church. A quote that was shared was "You will receive more revelation if you show Heavenly Father it means something to you." I just loved that so much! I'm so grateful for a loving Heavenly Father, who speaks to us through the Spirit of revelation that we might know how to return to live with Him. I know that He is always anxious to bless us, but that in order to receive more guidance & direction from Him we have to show Him our love for Him by keeping His commandments.
